hey everyone what do i have to do to put a T-5 out of a VN into a VY ?
May i ask why. Just convert a getrag 5 speed to a single mass flywheel.

looks like it will bolt straight up though. You'll need a few parts like tail shaft etc etc

because i have a spare VN 5 speed in a vn and want to make my vy manual what else besides tail shaft i would have to customize the tail shaft with the vy end to the diff ?

This is talking about a VT but the VY will be the same except for the ECU.you will also need clutch pedle+cable, tailshaft and crossmember, shouldnt be too hard to get the speedo working either
You'll need everything needed to put a getrag into your VY including ECU and loom but you'll be using a T5 and associated crossmember. So yes it will fit but its not just a case of bolt in and drive off.
The T5 will bolt straight to the ecotec, i know cause i am running a t5 in my series II. Other little things may be different ie, the clutch cable may not be able to take the same path in the vt as the vs because the way the steering enters the engine bay is completely different in a vt as they run a hydrolic clutch. this may be an issue as the cable comes out the firewall and runs the length of the engine, does a ubolt and heads back the way it came and down to the box,it may not be an issue as well. If converting from auto and changing wiring loom be careful of the quality of the loom thats going in cause i got stuck finding and fixing snapped wires for a day. then when that was right the security code in the manual memcal didn't match the code in the car so we had to bypass the whole security system and put an aftermarket one in. Still have no cruise control which sucks. I have a funny feeling that the VT runs a different computer setup as well which means you won't be able to use the loom from the same car that the box came out of. Not sure about that though. There will be problems when doing stuff like that there always is. But don't let that stop you, just be prepared for it.

so if i just wanted to go the m35 getrag 5speed with all the kit to go straight into a vy how much would it cost me ?
Never done it so I cant really say.
