SV8 gear change warning alarm ( hsv dash )

Hey , I have just bought a s2 sv8 vy manual and it has got a clubby dash. Took it for a raz today and discovered that after 4500 rpm an alarm goes off in the dash and a symbol appears on dash computer telling me to change up. Its pretty annoying , does anyone know how i can shut it off, I have been through the dash computer settings menu with no luck. Thanks

my r8 does it aswel but not till like 5.5 or 6k rpm and its such a loud beep its weird that yours is cutting in so early.

maybe get it reprogrammed to your car as there would be slight differences between the clubby and the sv8

Its all in the programming of the cluster. Your cluster must have been set to alarm at 4500rpm. It can be easily reprogrammed to alarm at whatever rpm you want, or turned off all together.

Thanks Guys does anyone know how to get it reprogrammed , is it able to be done by me or do i need someone with the tech. Steev888 it sometimes alerts at 4200 and sometimes not at all, just wierd and annoying. Thanks
