I just installed LED indicator blbs and now they are flashing faster than normal.Do i need to change the flasher unit to fix this.If so does anyone know where i can buy 1.
Thanks
yes you need an LED flasher relay, try ebay? other than that i think narva make them
Correct me if im wrong but could it just be ones in the wrong way? Also a question for you. With the LED bulbs can you see the individual LED when you indicate or brake or whatever?
yes u can see the individual LED light up.
They cant be in the wrong as the are an offset pin and only fit 1 way. Thanks for the tip on flasher unit will try autobarn and the likes tomorrow
Thanks
True, So what do you reckon they would be like in vl calais tailights or do you have no f***ing idea lol
For VL, I would be getting a multi-angled globe as it would fills out the whole lens, rather than a straight bulb where you would see a more of a circle of light where the globe is.
Flashing too fast is common as they would be different wattage to normal globes. My mate put an aftermarket front bar/indicators on his R33 and i fixed them flashing too fast with some 10kohm resistors they are only a few dollars from jaycar. The resistance you need will depend on what the globes were and what they are now.
Cheers.
