Just been looking at a set of kins springs ultra lows on ebay. Was wondering anyone that lowered their car 70mm did they needa tub their gaurds??
hey man, a mate of mine chev, has a vt senator on sssl's (ultras) and 19inch rims and in park it sits level with the rims and in drive it tucks 2-4cm of rim, so u wont needa tub ur guards just get shortened shocks and get ur guards rolled til there flat
quick clear up sssl are just called that. ultras are refered to as ssl. I had sl ssl and sssl on my vy and rolled on 18s and never had a rubbing issue. moment ive upgraded to 19s im rubbin my ass :P so depending on your wheels you might need to roll the gaurds. its really just a trial and error thing as every car is differnt. there is no definite answer. lower it and if it rubs roll the gaurds or cram the old springs back in.
Ultra's are just referred to as SSL's on forums.....the SSL part of the part number is purely for reference only it has nothing to do with how low the spring is. Some super lows are SSL and some ultra lows are SL. Sometimes an ultra low can be SSSL.
I want to tuck tyre!!
And how do u roll gaurds??
they attached a device to you hub like they would a wheel, and theres a roller on the end of an arm thats adjustable. They move it back and forth the arch (front to back) and lightly increase pressure each time. If its not that dramatic a problem, most will start by just flattening the liip on your gaurd
Just remeber, SSL will mean your changing tyres everytime you do a service (assuming you service every 10k)
