hi all, i have a vy ss and since i got it on tuesday when driving along from low speeds to high there is a very annoying fairly lound squeeking type noise from pretty sure drivers front wheel area, anyone have an idea, cheers
I suggest you jack the car up and spin the DS front wheel and see if you can replicate the noise (as you said it occurs at low speed). If so it's probably in the brake mechanism. It's unlikely to be a wheel bearing issue.
If there is no noise on spinning the wheel then it is likely to be a worn suspension component - possibly a worn or disintegrated rubber bush but it could be a number of items. You might be able to replicate the noise by gently bouncing the car up and down on the DS front while the car is at a standstill.
In any event you need to have it professionally checked out.
If a thorough pre-purchase mechanical inspection had been done on the car by a competent inspector the problem would have been identified before you bought it on TUES.
No doubt there will be others here who will comment on the problem now.
yea get it looked at
if i could here it i could tell you but i cant
all good guys i thought it would be the pads so i got all 4 changed the front still done it then changed the back 1's and woohoo no more noise as i suspected, thanks anyway guys
