ok bassically i was driving down the freeway went to overtake some1 and the clutch slipped so i backed off kept going and there was the smell.. no biggie. but as i get off and drive through normal streets there is now a god aweful vibration through the clutch pedal. it gets worse as the car revs then kinds smooths out after 3.5k revs.. weather its in gear or not and weather the clutch is engaged or not.
please if you know what this possibly could be can you explain it to me.
i have driven plenty of cars with f'ed clutches no dramas but the vibration has me worried.
and yeah i checked the engine mounts (not the gearbox ones though)
bumping it up.....
id this the wrong forum for this thread or something? or just does nobody know
Well considering the clutch is stuff and possibly the pressure plate, thrust bearing ect as well, one would think a removal of the gear box will be the next step and then you'll be able to turn over the engine without the box in play to rule out that vibration.
Cheers,
Dave
Probably glazed the flywheel when u cooked it.
Do a few hard launches in 2nd gear with a bit of slip to try and clean it up.
