Hi,
I am wondering if somebody can help me out talking to my ECU on a Holden Commodore 2003 VY Calais.
Anyway once I plug in my ELM327 and issue the command 0100 I get the following error:
BUS INIT: ...ERROR
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong.
Thanks,
Ward
It's not OBD2 compliant, there's your problem. It's ALDL with an OBD2 style connector.
Hi,
Thanks for your response. Besides it using the same connector how else are the different. So for example are the electiricallty the same and I can just issue a different set of AT commands to make it work?
Do you have any info on the protocol?
Thanks,
I don't really know much about it, all I know is your OBD2 cable won't work at all - I've tried it myself. ALDL cable's have different internals. You can usually pick them up off ebay though.
The protocol itself is apparently a GM variant of OBD1, but that's all i can tell you - sorry i can't help any more than that.
