Guys, got a serious problem today whilst out driving (Saudi). Set off in my auto and when I hit second it is a sharp kick in the backside and then it looses all drive and just revs. Then suddenly kick in again and gain drive. On off on off, totally undrivable. Just before I bought the car it had a new gear box with uprated quick shift. I told the guy I wasn't happy with the jerky second gear and said on his return from holidays we would get it set up propery. Never had this loss of drive though then and only just developed today. Anyone know what teh problem could be, I have had a look at FAQ and can't find the answer.
Someone must know something or experiences simular problems?? An update on this. The car went back to the garage and they changed a solenoid and the clutches. Then told me later that I need to get the computer checked out as I will get the same problems again if not. So now car is back in the garage awaiting diagnostics. Not happy, bought this car think it would be one less problem having a new gearbox. Had nothing but problems. I don't think the auto gearbox is man enough for the V8 5.7 Litre.
Well as nobody has commented, this must be an isolated problem then. I have just heard back from the mechanic and he said the clutches are fried and I need a new pump and solenoids. Interesting as they have only been replaced a week ago and I haven't been driving like an idiot I took it easy to bed the clutches in.
I would put the factory gearbox back in, they can handle enough punishment.

It is a factory gearbox with new internals, which appear to be made out of chocolate. One guy said I will need a new gearbox rebuild after every 100,000km. That's rubbish!
