Hey guys,
Just replaced my headlight bulbs with Narva Platinum H4's (they look really good) and it came with free park bulbs so thought id change them too.. Passenger side everything went sweet, drivers side - i THOUGHT everything went well but the Park light doesnt work now! i had a little bit of difficulty getting the holder back into the light but didnt force anything too crazy. I tried the old globe, another globe, i pulled out the passenger side bulb holder and compared it and they look the same (nothing looks damaged really) ... any ideas? could i have damaged something inside the light? there are no wires going to the parker bulb holder so im assuming the connections are inside the light.....
Cheers.
Did you swap globes with the other side or use another globe to try?? this will tell you if its a defective globe or damaged socket etc etc...
make sure that when you put the parker light back in to check on the end where the cross is and look for the 'This Side Up' and then put it in with that side up and then once in you twist it and it should click in
yeahhhh tried three globes in total... just went and swapped the globe holders around to see if i had a faulty holder.. and guess what.. now they BOTH dont work...... might have blown a fuse or something maybe, although they both wouldve gone at the same time then..... mmmmeh! cars from the 60s were so much simpler!
And yes.. i did make sure that "top" was on top![]()
as jezza said, you should feel it click in if you have put it in correctly, did u feel it click when twisting it in?
yeahhhhhh i did.... pretty funny how something so simple can go wrongmight pull the lights off when i do my bumper in a coulpe of days and have a good look. If all else fails its a good excuse to get some SS headlights

i remember when i first changed my parkers the first went in and worked fine and i didnt even know about the 'this side up' lable but the 2nd one took forever and in the end the led was blown and after getting a new one and actually seeing how it goes in it worked fine
Hahaha.... its a good thing i did notice thatI also adjusted my headlights today, the screw which says Left-Right didnt seem to make the beam of light move horizontally at all.. just kinda vertically, and the vertical one.... that still went vertically, seems about right though.. going on a cruuuise tonight (last drive out with my bumper taped on.. WOOHOO!) so il hope not to blind anyone!
I installed led parkers and same thing, passenger side worked, driver's did not. I ended up heating the entire headlight and opening it up to see if the problem was within the headlight unit. Stuffed around for hours with the bloody thing and ended up getting it working by bending the parker globe terminals to create a better contact- pain in the ass! Aaaaah well.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
i had this problem too, i sprayed a bit of WD40 on the terminals of the bit that goes into the back of the headlight, worked it around a bit, and fixed it.
