Help!
I have an overheating 2004 V6 VY 160 000 km's.
I have replaced the radiator (it was leaking), the water pump (no fins left), radiator cap and thermostat.
I flushed the engine as well and used the correct Holden coolant. The fans appear to be working okay.
Whats left?

when you added the coolant did you pre mix it and how much did you use? Also have you bled the air out of the cooling system?
Have u checked your oil to see if it's milky?, could be a head gasket

How appropriate. You fight like a cow.
Yes I pre mixed the coolant as per the instrction on the bottle. 50/50. I also bled the air from the system through the valve on the thermostat housing.
I checked the oil and it is the normal colour. I also removed the spark plugs to see if anything odd appeared on the plugs. All okay.

hmmmm replaced everything i can think of other than a leaky hose, although ounce i was stumped by a thermostat that could fit back to front, it overheated strait away.

Did you fully drain the cooling system? Unless you did that your pre mixed 50/50 is way too weak now. You can only get around 1/2 the capacity of the cooling system drained by undoing the radiator hoses.
I'd be taking out the thermostat and testing it in some boiling water and then refilling the system so you end up with a 50/50 mix. Capacity is 12 litres so I just make sur eI get at least 6 litres out after it's been flushed a few times and then add 6 Litres of the concentrated coolant and then top up with water and premix into the overflow bottle.
Some possibilities.
1. Due to debris build up which has not been fully flushed out, there might be a partial blockage in the cooling system, impeding free coolant flow.
2. There is still air in the system which is impeding coolant flow. I always bleed the system 3 or 4 times over a couple of days just to make sure I have all the air out. If you do not you can get an overheating condition.
3. You may have a dodgy thermostat but probably unlikely if new and the correct spec part.
If it was my car I would be doing additional air bleeds and re-checking the temps.
If you still have the overheating problem and the thermostat is ok I would thoroughly flush the system again, refill and retest. It's much cheaper than cooking your engine.
