Odd question regarding headlights for Vy

Hey ive got a VY calais which has been in a frontal accident.

Im finding it impossible to find calais headlights in NZ but there is plenty of standard ones

My headlights are fine on the front but are a bit smashed up at the back.

What im wondering is if I can take the backing off say a 2004 sv6 headlight and put it on my calais headlights.

no. sv6's are VZ. lights have a different inside angle. so they won't physically fit.

look for a vy berlina light as an alternatively. the berlina light is the same as the calais only the whole thing is chrome inside instead of black.

vy exec, and ss lights won't work either because of the teardrop. but berlina, calais, statesman & hsv variants are all the same.
