1.95 YT ROLLER ROCKERS. With 5/16 pushrods.
HSV XU6 Memcal chip
Limited Slip Diff, installed by HOLDEN
Sports Exhaust stainless steel catback system, High flow duel cats 2 1/2 “ duel system into 2 3” tips. Mild steel extractors. Im not sure if high flow cats are the way to go...
Future mods will be stage 2 intercooler water to air and then smaller pulley again.
Anyways, as the car is, would my car be faster than a stock BA XR6T or the BF? please help...
a stock one on the street probably on the track maybe not. why are you comparing a modded car to stock?
I'm not sure if yours is faster or not.
But I can tell you my VY Berlina keeps up almost identically to any stock BA XR6.
Hope you can use that in your comparison....
cheers

Next mods: Lowering, 4 Channel Amp and eventually 19's
Not even a chance. XR6T will eat you for breakfast, and then some more once they wind up the boost and fit some new valve springs. A commodore V6 won't beat anything worth it's salt until you put forged internals in it and force 20psi+ through it.
That's because Falcons have a longer 1st gear so they don't get off the line as well. Above 60km/h a BA will be faster.
yep thats true i was infront of a ba xr6 and around 2nd gear it slightly started picking up just passed my vr![]()
btw its not stock, ive got stage 3 auto and stage 2 engine so moderate, getting supercharged atm with a powerdyne that i got of vtls1, im hoping for 220 - 230rwks with 9 pounds untercooled, then will i beat a xr6t ?
going supercharged with comp pacies and 3inch exhuast
No not yet, how much for a dyno run? Where from in sydney?
Line up some XR8s, you will smoke them easily. I've beaten many XR6Ts on the street off the line but yeah, once they hit 70-80km'h you will need a few more mods to hold a candle to them. I don't run to more than 80km'h on the street anyways as it's better to get to the track
VYII Calais L67
My mate has a stock F6 turbo - 12 sec run with standard tyres and everything. Seems to go pretty hard off the line once the traction control sorts it shit (even when turned off!)
My hilux has beaten a stock XR6T ute at the track, it had a slightly higher trap speed though, so any further and it would have reeled me in.
Short answer Jeff, you will be beaten. Especially if the driver is switched on.
You should get yours to a track, run it as much as you can to get some consistent numbers, then you (and everyone else) will have an idea of what chance you have.
Hi, with my current mods, i am thinking is it possible to go to 12,13,14,or even a higher psi pulley without going the intercooler modification? of course i wouldnt be able to drive it for hard for long but with decent driving would it be okay?
The air is going to be getting VERY hot and you're going to run the risk of detonation. Not to mention it'd be so much torquier with an intercooler.
