Do I have a VY Series 1 or Series 2?

Hi everyone,

I need help on finding out if I have a Series 1 or Series 2 for Insurance purposes.

Build Date: Feb 03.
Model VY8VK69-114-PDE
Body No: 6G1YK52A93L980262

Any information would be really appreciated.

a feb 03 model would be a series 1

the series 2s were built from october 03

As Jezza said Series 2 cam out around October 2003, some of the changes are as follows;
There will be a chrome strip along the bottom of the boot lid, a series 2 badge on the back. It will also have the sun glass holder with map lights between the sun visors and cruise control is standard as are front power windows. Under the bonnet the series 2 will also have studs on the strut towers for a strut brace.

According to redbook the series 2 VY was released in August 2003.

easiest way to tell is the headlight. S1 have a clear indicator in the front lights, s2 had the amber lense in the front headlight.

if a cars been debagged and smahed up or whatever another way to find out is ring your holden dealership and tell them your vin they look in their systems and tell you from the delivery of the car works with most info about your car but they will charge you for things like radio pins and security numbers.
