    Question VY Mods..PLEASE HELP!

    Hey guys and girls,

I want to do a couple of mods to my vy executive sII. its got all the basic mods; rims, lowered, exhaust and window tint. was thinking about cutting the snorkel on the cold air to force more air. opinions?

There are so many Vys around and i want some things to make it look unique.
Any help for home mods or cheaps mods would be great.

    Thanks

Appearance mods? Does the vy have the crappy plastic garnish along the doors. If so colour remove the strips, colour match mirrors, sideskirts and rear lower bumper plastics. What colour is your car? Maybe colour match your rims with your car or paint them something different. Whitewalls depending on colour of car rims etc.

Obviously not the best ideas but they are slightly different. Not much you can do to be different as most of the good looking mods are common! The rest arent done for a reason! Depends on how unique you wanna be! Could turn it into a limo!

Do not chop up your air intake.. It will not make a measurable improvement to the car's performance.

yeah its white, the strips on the side are already white so its looking pretty slick. as for the plastic on the rear bar, it could be painted i guess not sure how that would look though lol. i also want to get one of those chrome grilles for the front and calais trim all around the car. is there anywhere i can pick these up second hand you reckon?

The Calais and berlina grilles (the chrome ones) don't fit the executives. Your beat bet is a chrome copy off eBay.

Your gonna be REAL lucky to get the Calais strips second hand, 90% of people bend them on break them getting them off, and if they do come off you gotta get all the glue off the strips and off you car (took me 3 full days to get it off) then pay for glue to get them on and hope they don't fall off lol. My opinion? Take them off and they look so much cleaner.

From Holden new, a set of Calais trims are pushing over $700, and that's not painted because you gotta paint the bottom half the colour of your car. Not worth it IMO

Good luck though, my car came with by design body kit that was painted the same colour as my car tool my strips off and colour matched my mirrors, got some vz ss tail lights and berlina chrome boot garnish (plus some other stuff) and she looks shmich

pretty much, unless you have vz looms youll have to cut off a couple of lugs that stop the globe holder locking into the light but anyone can do that in about 5seconds, i had the looms though so all was good

If your HBD has exec tail lights, then yes check out my car if it's the se lights as what I used to have which almost every by has haha. Then yes. The only vy's that won't fit vz as tail lights are Berlinas and Calais'

But you'll be up for a small fortune. The cheapest I found were 350$! But I got hella lucky when I guy on eBay was wrecking one and I bought them for 150 with looms xD nothing wrong with them
