I have just purchased a twin hump hard cover my Ute how ever its in blue so needs a respray.
I have been quoted $650 so ide rather do it myself as i have a week of holidays and i only payed $500 for the top, im also thinking off putting a pattern down the two humps while im at it maybe.


Could any spray painters please let me know how to go about it, the order off operations.
The actual spraying i will be ok with, its just getting to that stage.
Ie: do i take the blue off or just the gloss layer?

The blue job on the top currently is almost perfect all over to begin with.


Also if anyone has any idea's on patterns, so far im thinking a simple tribal shape like the tatoo's ppl have, to put down each hump to match the rest of the car.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
