Default any problems with lowering ute? any suggestions?

planning on lowering my vu ute (i know not vy) but has anyone had any problems lowering with king springs ultra lows? any other things need to be done eg. rolling the guards?, they are running 19inch with 245 wide tyres.. is there much scraping,
also how much gap does the ultralows leave from the top of tyre to the edge of the guard, and same with the superlows?
    thnks

    Hey mate,

I have the KHRL-1427SSL in mine, I did originally have the KHRL-1427SL which is pretty much just the same!!

I haven't had any real problems, but you NEED shorted bump stops and some new absorbers, otherwise be prepared for a very rough ride. Your guards should have been rolled when your rims where fitted? If not then do it.

Only thing I have to say about them is that they are too soft. Before I swapped the bump stops if I put my raptor or two bikes in the back they would be sitting on the stops, they aren't now but they are pretty close.

There is no gap between the guard and the tyre, the very tip of the tyre just sits in there with 19's. No scrapping, no need to look like a tool and go sideways over everything either.

There are complete kits out there, front and rear springs and absorbers for about $600 which is the cheapest way to buy it all.

Oh BTW the VU is the best ute of them all!!

you will need to roll the guards definitely and if you want any life out of your tyres at all you will want a camber kit fitted. I've just been through all this and may need a kit to adjust the toe in because my wheels aren't aligned although you may get lucky and not need it.
