    Default Loosing power just after starting car in morning

    My V8 has been playing up a little. Maybe someone here can help me get started as to what to look for.

    When I start the car in the morning, after I leave the garage, I accelerate on the road the the car would almost stall, looses acceleration and then it kicks in again and goes alright for the rest of the day.

    I have LPG but its on a timer and the when this happens the car is still on petrol not lpg.

    What fuel do you use? tried injector cleaner.. When is the last time you had a run with a complete tank of petrol? Delay you take off in the morning (5 mins idle) make a difference. I'm just plucking things from the air as I know nothing about dual fuel systems plus there's so many different types it would be hard to work out the issue at this stage.
    Cheers,

    Dave

    The BP ultimate. I will bring it up next service. Will try the delay start. I think the machanic said last time my fuel filter (or something like that) was a dirty. I drive it on Petrol rarely as I get engine warning signals. The LPG guy changed a setting. The warning used to come up on LPG but now it comes up on petrol. Just havent been back there yet.

    GM recommend on LPG Vys:

    1. Never let the petrol tank drop under 1/4 full (as the engine is using some fuel on start and when working hard);
    AND
    2. run at least 20 litres of fuel through the engine every 30-45 days.

    What you have described sounds like a starved fuel pump (insufficient fuel in the petrol tank) or a blockage in the fuel system when the engine is running on petrol.

    Thanks, I'm gonna get the car to the LPG guy to fix that annoying engine warning and then drive a few tanks of fuel through it.
