    Default Stereo Help

    I was just wondering if some one in perth could actually help me remove my head unit, i spent a good 1-2 hours on it today and tried every thing to remove but just couldnt get it out
    Any help would be appreciated.

    you use a coathanger . Cut it into 4 lengths and insert them in the 4 holes in the side of the head unit and pull head unit out .
    onces its out ther's a diagram on your factory deck that shows you what plug is what

    i've had trouble with a few stubborn radios refusing to come out after using the pins and coathanger wire. i ended up using some long nails and pushed them inthe hole and towards the radio, i found after i got it out the spring wasn't quite depressing enough when i used coat hanger wire

    useing the coat hanger wire can damage the pins. go to your local holden and they should be able to do it for you for free, also it will take them 20sec's to walk to your car. open your door and pull the head unit out.
    want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...

    Not if you make them properly with a notch.

    well spooin i got a better idea you pay for your own ticket and come over and do it
    cheers for the help guys i had been trying the coat hanger, tried nails, tried long skinny screwdrivers tried nearly everything i could think of so
    i went to holden to get it done and it took them 45 minutes to get it out, they said it was the most stuborn unit they had dealt with lol
