Hey guys
i need help with replacing my radiator.
Can some one tell me how much does it cost for a new radiator.
What all things do i need to change while changing the radiator.
Do i need to buy any additional spares.
And how do i install the new radiator please explain to me step by step
Chris.
Im sure if you were to do a search it will come up, its late so il give a quick attempt.
unplug all the plugs to the thermo fans and pop the metal spring lock things then pull the thermo fans off
un bolt any pipe attached to radiator (water inlet/outlet, trans cooling pipes etc)
slide radiator up and out, it does get caught so u might have to pop one side out of the side channel first once it comes up a bit
reverse for connecting it back up
second hand a radiator is between 150-250
new around 200 non genuine and probly 400 or 500 genuine as a guess
As for spares, you'll need to refill coolant and water and could swap the pipe seals while your at it because they are cheap enough and u will have the pipes off anyway
Good luck

New radiator costs roughly $200- $300 Holden Commodore VY Holden Commodore VY & WK RADIATOR V6 9/02 - 8/04 AUTO / MANUAL
I bought one of these for my VY but had to make some very minor changes to the thermo fan mounts because VY uses a slightly different thermo fan set up. No biggy, a trip to bunnings and a little strip of aluminium fixed all that Holden Commodore VT,VX & WH RADIATOR V6 / ALL ALLOY 50 MM RADIATOR
