VY S Fog lights

Can someone suggest what are the components needed to install a foglight in a VY S Comm?

I was told by a mechanic that it will cost me $550 for lights and installation. Is that normal. I am going to Autobarn now...

So if someone suggest me what to get, I can get it from there. Also please provide a manual or a link if there is any.

have a look under your front bar, the fog light wiring harness is normally cliped to the chassie, if you have them all you will need is a relay,switch and set of fog lights. relay is about $16 from holden and foglights off ebay around $100 + not sure on the vy for a switch tho

bro the lights are the same as a vx i think,and the wiring should already be there.all you have to do is buy the spotties and plug in..i think also you might need just need to buy a new switch with the fog light swich already attached..dont pay the mech 550 man ull save heaps doing it yourself.

if you have a series 1 s pac the wiring should be there apparently series 2 s pacs dont have the wiring which is silly.

aftermarket foglights will cost 100-150, genuines double that

and a switch will be around 50-60 dollars so if you have a series 1 your laughing

dont forget to get a relay from holden, you wont have one in the relay box.

thanks guys...i have a VY series 2..so theres no wiring...all i need is a relay and a switch other than the foglights...am a beginner..so please let me know if there is anything else required..even if it is wires... is there a link how i can do it myself?

if you dont care about if its genuine or not there is a company on ebay that sell projector foglights for around $30 and they also do a HID kit with them for $130 (foglights and HID globes) i have a series 2 acclaim and will probably purchasing one soon

DO NOT BUY THEM... i bought them and the do not fit in the s/ss bar as they say they do there a universal fit for every car made to screw into a front bar

Just check it is a headlight switch with the fog light function, it will have a picture of the fog light on it where you turn the lights on.
Unless someone has opened it and swaped the face over.

just got a set of foggies but they had the vz mounts which sh*tted me no end... just ended up drilling new holes for the mounts which was a bit of a pain but i got em in alright... now i just need to wire them up... i know i gotta get a switch and relay but what kind of wire do i use?? thats the one thing im not sure off and does anyone have a wiring diagram of how youd wire them up to look like stock???
