    Default What battery

Hello......We have a 2003 VY Executive Wagon (V6) and we need to get a new battery for it. The battery in it is supposedly a battery that would be used for Mercedes and BMW's and will cost about $180 to get another one of these. Wanting to know if anyone knows what battery is the one that is supposed to be used in our car.

    Cheers
    Toni.

Just go to Big W, K-Mart or an auto Elec and get an Exide Endurance Plus or failing that the correct Century battery for your VY. the original batteries were Exide. The original battery in my VY was just over 6 years old before it began to show signs of failing.

I've had a pretty good run with Bosch Golds. Now I run a D34 Optima which is a great battery. Left my parkers on all night and it still started perfectly in the morning.

semi sealed is better because if you have to you can remove the caps with a 10 cent piece and refill the cells. For all intents and purposes they are sealed.

If your going to an automotive shop that keeps century batteries the one you need is a 58VT or a 68VT.. the 58 has a 2 year warranty, the 68 a three year warranty, both decent batteries
