painting valve covers

gday i would like to paint my valve covers on my vy has any one done this and what type of paint and ect did they use thanks

I did this on my VS - Looked great. I used high temp engine paint. Just be sure to clean'em up well - wax and grease remover ftw!

Yeah I did mine in High Temp Red paint. Pretty easy, just wax and degrease them, wash them thoroughly, plastic primer, and 3 light coats of paint. LIGHT COATS!!!!! Don't put it on too thick or it will bubble.

Sand them flat and smooth first, work your way up from say 320 untill they're baby bum smooth and you'll have a really nice finish.
