    Default Worrying noise!!!

So i pulled a wicked double legger lastnight in my s pac, and ivé noticed i now have what seems to be a intermittant rubbing noise coming from somewhere.. kinda hard to tell where from, maybe a wheel or the back end of the car (maybe diff??) any ideas as to what a burn out may have caused to make such a noise?
    Cheers

    lol
jack up the rear of the car on jack stands and chock the front wheels
turn the wheels BY HAND and see if you can hear a noise from anywhere
if you cant then you may need the car checked out diff, tyres, gearbox.

true that while you have it jacked up have a good look around might be something obvious

havent had a chance to jack the back end up yet, but i suspect that the problem is the gear box.. as i am travelling the noise stops as soon as i push the clutch pedel in.. also the noise stops 3rd gear and up.. was thinking of doing a gear box oil change an seeing if any metal can be found in the old oil

Should be fine if it's just the clutches in the diff worn out - the grinding noises are probably caused by bits of clutch material mixed in with the oil. I'd flush the diff oil ASAP - change it once, go for a longish drive then change it again.

Personally i wouldn't drive it at all if the noise persists after the oil change.
