If I was to cut a hole, the size of my fist in the bottom of the standard airbox on the VY L67 (the one with the stock growler looking thing) would it improve induction.?
I would obviously cover it with some sort of flyscreen for bugs and other objects to stay out. would it cause the sensor to give error codes?
cheers guys, soo bored right now![]()
found this photo on the L67 forum on L67torque.
Would it improve anything or just wank factor?
Im not to sure mate but let me know how you go coz its not a bad idea if it works.
I wouldn't bother there will probably be no noticable improvement. If you want to cool the intake air from what I have read your far better off with an insulating spacer between the manifold and plenum, not sure how that works on a super charged motor though, you could check out the Mace website.
Be careful doing that mod, if you get traction, you may reverse the rotation of the earth
Two hole mod anyone? It's been talked about heaps in various form - those that do it swear by it, that's called "Cognitive Dissonance"![]()
"You want fast, reliable and cheap ? You'll find a Commodore out there that can provide any two out of those three!"
I had the 2 hole mod on my LS1 it makes about 1kw difference on a good day.![]()
Yeah, it does bugger all. Certainly nothing you'll notice.
louder induction?
Yep, I believe that’s what causes the placebo effect why people think their car is actually faster from the mod.
The volume is barely any different frankly.
IMO it stuffs up a totally good airbox.
Just get an OTR =D
"If you want more inches.. STROKE it.."
"Wait are we still talking about cars!?"
