I noticed when i got my exhaust i could hear the gears holding revs for too long coming out of first and into second. It sounded like it was slipping epically (automatic transmission) and when i manual select gears it changes gears by itself well thats what it sounds like. Im thinking its the torque converter or shredded second gear?
Any help or suggestions to what it is will be very greatful thanks.
sorry officer..thought you wanted to race.
Whens the last time you got that auto serviced? It *might* be as simple a fix as that.
even check that the tranny fluid is high enough can 'fix' these sorts of things, and certainly the best place to start. Of course, if it is low (even if a top up fixes it) you need to investigate why it was low ...

Burnt ATF probably. Typical signs of burnt ATF is that the shift is delayed, then when it finally shifts it really jolts/slams it into gear. This is most prevalent on the 1st-2nd shift.
Another sign is when you are in 1st at WOT and manually select 2nd, if doesn't shift until you let off the throttle.
Don't manually downshift your stock box unless necessary (e.g. towing something heavy up a big hill), otherwise you will cause excessive wear on the box. Up shifting should be no problem though as long as you are at WOT.
