Hey guys, have had this problem with my car for a while.

My car is dual fuel (unleaded + LPG), automatic, and originally the airbox had blown due to a backfire so I thought this was the problem (even though the problem occurs on petrol) . So I replaced the airbox and the piping which had also burst and thought it would fix it. But it didn't.

It only happens when the engine is warm. If the engine is cold ie. in the morning and I accelerate down the street it's fine, but if it's warm and I've been driving it around, if I put my foot down (not even the whole way) the car will stutter and won't accelerate until eventually it's as if it "catches on" and starts accelerating. It happens on petrol only, it doesn't happen on LPG to my knowledge (I don't put my foot down very far at all when on LPG).

Any help?

Backfires on LPG are caused by a weak ignition system 99% of the time. Change your plugs and leads and make sure you use appropriate spark plugs (i.e. one range colder than normal and 0.8mm gap) and good quality heavy duty leads.
