The MAF has to read boosted air , ie ,air after the turbo boosts it & pushes it into the Throttle Body so it really has to be plumbed in between the turbo outlet & the throttle body inlet. That way your ECU can recieve the message from the MAF that the engine is getting boosted air flow so it needs to supply more fuel to get more power. the ECU does this by altering the pulse width of the fuel injectors so they stay open longer & more fuel is pumped into the inlet side of combustion chamber.
If you plumb your MAF to the non boost side of the turbo ie the Air filter pod side it will always read ambient air pressure so you will end up with a lean fuel mixture signal because the ECU is getting a signal that the engine hasnt got a turbo on it at all, ie no boost signal.atmospheric pressure only

Holden must of really screwed the pooch with the releases of the L67, might want to let them know that they put the MAF in the wrong spot.
The MAF is a Mass Air Flow sensor/meter. All it does is measure Air FLOW, it has nothing to do with atmospheric conditions.
Think you maybe getting confused with a MAP sensor, Manifold Absolute Pressure.
