Hi All,

I own a 2003 VY station wagon and very intermitantly their is a knocking noise coming from the front end of the car. This only happened when I turned left.

The steering wheel wasn't in full lock either.

I have previously put in posts about the car going to the left when you let go of the steering wheel.

Do you think both faults are related to one problem?

Regards,

Arty

Maybe the strut top bearing if it makes the noise while stationary but turning the wheel, otherwise maybe the shock if it makes the noise while stationary but bouncing up and down without turning the wheel. Check the other bushes around too though and mabye even the steering rack(?), and that the wheel isn't scrubbing. If you get stuck Pedders still do a $14(?) safety check I think, so that might be an easy way to get an answer. Good luck with it
