Hey guys,
i got my S2 Equipe and im loving it right now its my first car. but i cant help myself i just wanna upgrade and mod it and everything. i have to keep my Ps for 3 more years at the moment tho and i just caught in the new V8 laws so im stuck with a V6. What im wondering is though, should i just upgrade it now you know exhaust, lowered, bodykit and all that or should i wait untill i get my full licence and upgrade to a HSV? i already have a new sub, amp and head unit.
Also how much do you reckon my car would be worth in 3 years time?
Cheers guys
Exhaust and some MACE bolt ons and a memcal tune should keep you happy for 3 years or so. Costs about $1,000 all up but you can do it a little at a time.
Wouldn't bother with a kit or lowering, it will drop the resale value. Or if you lower it change it back to stock before you sell it and you can probably sell the lowered springs and shocks to get a little back.
I could even keep them. would they work on a Clubsport Y?
Theres a guy near me who can do my exhaust for 300 bucks he said. My mate got his done there and seems to be pretty good
I wouldnt even be thinking about V8's N HSV's n s**t until, its time to....
Just worry bout the car u got, exhaust, suspension & some MACE parts will do ur car a world of good, just be happy with the car u got its ur first car so have some fun with it
I WISH MY GRASS WAS EMO SO IT WOULD CUT ITSELF
yeah man sounds good its just the noise im after i love the V8 rumble more than anything
I'll probably get canned for saying this, but I've read the four threads you've started since getting your car and they have dealt with accelleration, top speed, lowering, modified exhausts and now you admit you still have three years to go on your P's, yet you can't even fix the plastic side shroud on the driver's seat, which is about the easiest and cheapest thing to fix on a VY.
It's obvious you don't have a clue about cars, you've just bought your Exec and you want to shoot for the stars.
Use your provisional license period to develop as a driver and grow up a bit before you start dreaming about HSV's.
lmao - you cranky ol' bastard.
But ....
Ne'er a truer word spoke. I totally agree - It's the op's first car, and they call it 'provisional' for a reason.
Dude - make the most of the "basic" car you have - pick up some skills, some knowledge, and get used to looking after your car and finding your way around it. You are off to a good start - you chose a VY, and you signed up here.
Good luck, have fun, but ease in to it, and stay safe.
