Couple of simple questions, but damned if I can find the answer anywhere. Did find the whole "avoid the SS induction" thing though, which *was* going to be the next little mod, but forget that.
ANYWAY, quick question, which seems to get me quite a few different answers in the shops.
(1) WHAT BLOODY BULB DOES THE 2004 MALOO VY II TAKE for headlights, lowbeam, highbeam?? They are the projection ones, not sure if that makes a huge amount of difference in the answer.
(2) Where are these six speakers located? I found 2.
(3) Will the VE HSV steering wheel fit on the VY?
Oh, and no, I can't grab the bulbs out of the Maloo and just check - it's in the workshop. Seems the poor Maloo's previous mechanic thinks service involves writing in a logbook, and not doing anything. Baby need new brakes, new leads, new headers, new "all the normal stuff in a service (filters, oil)".
I am upgrading the standard speakers to the polk MM's, but if theres another 4 running around somewhere inside the ute, I'd love to know.
And finally, the wheel probaly won't fit, but desperate to keep it out of the hands of the missus now she's claimed the VE.![]()

I Don't Care What You Say, But My Commy Is The Fastest Car In The World
if its like my acclaim with 6 speakers then its 2 tweeters in the corners of the dash and then 1 speaker in each door = 6 speakers
oh and at first i thought that i had 2 6x9 speakers in the back because i saw the door ones but it wasnt until i listened to a song with some higher notes and realised that the song sound a little different and i realised that its because it had tweeters and could get the higher notes unlike my old car which didnt have tweeters
I've got a good installer taking a look at it on friday...if it ever leaves the mechanics.
