its meant to stop the tyres wearing unevenly when you lower your car your wheels lean in or out.. depending how you look at it... and the camber kit when adjusted makes them sit right again..

Tyre wear on the inside of your back tyres, I wouldn't have thought though that a VY would have the same problems as a VT-VX1, as from VX2 they made the camber adjustable. But I have fitted a Pedders Camber kit to my old VT1 and it made a dramatic difference, and if you don't lower it, also consider fitting Poly-Air Bags, these are also sold by Pedders. I experienced no more inside rear tyre wear on my VT1 once these were fitted. If you get them to fit and align your Camber kit (the only way to do it in my book!) and fit the Poly-Air Bags yourself, you should be able to have it done for under $700.
