i did my springs yesterday and was gign to do the camber kit.. except there are four places to put it and i only have 2.. the guy i spoke to told me i only needed one kit so does the camber kit go on the inner swing arm or the outer swing arm???
OR is the guy talking shit and i actually do need another kit?????
cheers,
Simon
What model commodore are you doing it on?
its a vy...
i phoned pedders and they said i only need top do it on the inner arm of each side
well its all done.. just the inner arm of each side seems all good.. had to take it to a diferent place to get ti aligned and the camber adjusted coz the mechanic didnt have the equipment to do it? dont know whats needed
what is the benefit of kit in a daily driver? does it mess with your tyre wear
its meant to stop the tyres wearing unevenly when you lower your car your wheels lean in or out.. depending how you look at it... and the camber kit when adjusted makes them sit right again..
i didnt get a chamber kit put in when i lowered my car what will be major downside of this?
2 bushes on each side cos each arm has two mounting points.
DARKTEL you will need to add a camber kit...if you dont you will find your tyers wear uneaven...what model have you got.....i would do it if i was you i get tyre wear on a berlina and its as stock as a rock..................cheers
We ALL HAVE 1 THING IN COMMON:THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF GRIP
i got VY 18" rims
Tyre wear on the inside of your back tyres, I wouldn't have thought though that a VY would have the same problems as a VT-VX1, as from VX2 they made the camber adjustable. But I have fitted a Pedders Camber kit to my old VT1 and it made a dramatic difference, and if you don't lower it, also consider fitting Poly-Air Bags, these are also sold by Pedders. I experienced no more inside rear tyre wear on my VT1 once these were fitted. If you get them to fit and align your Camber kit (the only way to do it in my book!) and fit the Poly-Air Bags yourself, you should be able to have it done for under $700.Originally Posted by darktele
