03 vy II s ute, tight gearbox

have a 03 vy II s ute, and the gearbox is really tight, anyone have any ideas of why it may be like this?

can you explane more detail as to whats tight. is it a manual/auto?
are you trying to change gears/select gear and its realy hard to get it into gear?

We're not all mind readers here. the more you explane, the better answer you will get. Keep that in mind next time.

its a manual box, and when i step the clutch in, from 2nd to 3rd it doesnt go in smooth,the gears dont crunch i just have to give it some, like push the shifter in to get into 3rd to select 3rd.
any ideas?

So it's a V6 with a Getrag 5 speed?

If so, change the gearbox oil and see how that goes.

Billet Product shifters are a good bit of kit for the Getrag as well. I've had mine in for over 50,000km now

yeah mate V6 with the getrag box.
i was thinking the same, gearbox oil and it should free it up a bit.
