VY Headlight replacement. full casing etc...

Hi all.

I would like some help/advise on how to tackle replacing the headlights on my vy exec.

bought the ss/sv8 headlight casing and am obviously looking to swap them over with the stock ones.

i have attempted. but couldnt get to all the bolts...

my mechanic told me i had to take the whole front bar off. is this true?

or is there an easier way of fixing this problem.

also if this question has been answered on this forum or on another forum i would like to know its where abouts..

yep the bar needs to come off.

front bar has 2 screws each side in the wheel wells, three up top (open the bonnet and youll see them) and 2 plastic ones under the number plate... thats where they were on my S so i figured theyll be pretty much the same for the exec

What he said, here's a thread on it, pretty much the same thing. it get's easier every time you remove it

oh thanks heaps for the thread, most likely the vz and vy bumpers are pretty much the same, and im sure that when i looked at doing it before i have noticed all those screws, i just wasnt sure if there was ones underneath and what ever, and where to start and what not, so that thread will point me in the right direction you would hope thanks
