Hi Guys.
I recently did a wheel rotation on my '02 VY Commodore and had a look at the brake pads in the process. The pads I could see (on the outside of the caliper) had about 5mm of pad material left. I was wondering if any one would know approximately how long (approx km) these pads still have in them before replacement is necessary? All work fine at the moment, no squeeking or shudder. These pads have done about 80,000k's.
Thanks.
Normally stock pads on normal use will get you 150,000.

Need your computer tuned, or dash calibrated??? Want your PS3 fixed, or wish to prevent the YLOD?
It all depends on how you drive you could probably get betwen 5-10,000 km . You may want replace them soon anyway to save leaving it to late and damaging the rotor.
5mm should last at least 10,000kms with normal driving.
Just keep an eye on them.
Silver Certified.
Hi guys,
some great brake info there. I will be replacing the brake pads on my 2003 vy Lumina wagon soon and i am looking for bolt torque settings (if there are any) for the calipers etc.
Does anyone know what these settings are.
Thanks
Neil
