HELP!!!! My LS1 transmission wont shift into third or fourth!

mytransmission just died on me! tried starting it up on sunday morning, and took off. got onto the highway, and it just kept revving in second. it simply will not go into third, or fourth. when i took my foot off the pedal, the revs returned to idle.
iv checked all the fuses, all good. HELP!!!
do i need a rebuild?

verry common mates car did the same thing the cluth pack for third and fourth burns out evry time in a standard box.

Get a price on a rebuild (average $2000) or it might be more benificial to slot a 6spd in it. Depending on what you want to do with the car.

its a calais. and i like the luxury of it. just put the pedal down and go.
ill stick with an auto. i had a quote down today, $1800-$2000. but he cant even look at it for 3 weeks as the guy that takes the boxs out of the cars is on holidays!
im thinking of getting a rebuild, and getting some stronger components put in as im looking to raptor charge it.
any ideas on how much a stock box can handle in terms of RWKW? im looking at the 330RWKW mark.
what would i need if it cant handle that much stock?

Check your fluid level first mate , it could need a litre or two of fluid????

fluid was the very first thing i checked. its *just* below the full mark.

it looks pretty red to me. but im also color blind
