VY Seatbelt w/Carseat
Hey there,
I have just tried to test putting the new car seat for my daughter in the back of my VY Acclaim and the seatbelt is about 5cm too short. Does anyone know if I can get a longer seatbelt replacement or any other ideas?

Are you sure you're installing it correctly? I had no trouble installing a car seat in my VY.

yes, you can get seatbelt extenders, in SA the Redcross & RAA can point you in the right direction, so not sure where you are, but maybe try your states roadside assistance company?Originally Posted by AdamAnt
Yeap, 100% followed instructions, then we tried it in a friends BMW and since it has longer belts it worked fine?
Sorry, forgot to mention that I am in New Zealand... apparently the extender pieces are illegal here?

its too late to return car seat, we should have tried it earlier but we hav had it for 3 or 4 months

which position on the back seat did you try?

dang, I was going to say try the middle or side if you hadnt, to see if the seat cushions were different allowing more room
yea i was hoping the same but no such luck....
