vy v6 starter motor

over the last few months starting my ute the starter motor gets stuck in for about 3 seconds. just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem?

Haven't had that problem but it could be the contacts on the solenoid cap sticking or the mecanism that throws the starter gear out a bit sticky. Perhaps you need to take it out?
Years ago I had a Torana and the starter got stuck on one latr night. I just got a large spanner and wacked the solenoid and it released.

yea mate i pulled it of last night and sprayed the shit out of the shaft. had no drama's so far so fingers crossed hey
