    Default VY Berlina

    Hi all,

My Dad's ready to get a new car...

I think that a VY Berlina (Series I/II - V6 Auto) would be the ideal car for him.

Are they generally a good car? Anything specific to look out for?

mine is great. most berlina's are owned by the older folk so it is less likely they have been thrashed. just look for log books and general wear and tear in the cabin. usually a sure sign one has been mistreated in those areas.

    good luck.

aix is right, wheels and springs make a big difference to them

I have a ser1 berlina wagon (only wagon you can order the gen III) love it, you get all the mod cons and if you can find one with leather, you get a nice touch of luxury. Your dad wont be disapointed with one. Rubber steering wheel on the series 1 is crap, but easy to change for a leather one.
