Hi All,
I have a 2003 VYII Clubsport with about 125,000kms. For a while now, I have been noticing a quite audible and rough shudder from the rear of the car, when I turn (usually right) into driveways, around corners etc.
A friend with some mechanic knowledge said it could be the rear diff on the left wheel...
I know it isn't the power steering issue VY's are noted for as it's coming from the rear and not feeling it through the steering wheel.
Thanks for any feedback!
Sounds like the diff...
Has the diff been serviced and had anti chatter additive added along with new synthetic oil.
It should have been done every 40K minimum according to my mechanic otherwise they start to grab (chatter) as the limited slip comes into operation like when turning slowly.
This chattering also wears the cones in the LS faster.
