Steering controls problem

Hi guys kinda new on here so sorry of I posted in the wrong area my stereo controls on my 2003 vy Calais sll when u press the volume up it mutes and down turns it up but some how it works if any one could help it would be much appreciated

Ha, nearly all of them do this eventually. Mine started doing it with 50,000 k's on the clock. There is some way of soldering the connections in the buttons or something? I just bought a new set off a JC member, fitted them myself and havn't had a problem with them yet...yet!

mine does it too haha sucks balls. i just went with an aftermarket headunit and stopped thinking about the controls

Probably easiest way to fix this would be, as VYMAD did, replace the steering wheel controls all together.

i have had this problem too. even when i fitted my aftermarket audio system and aftermarket steering wheel control box. i think it may be a problem with the actual switches in the steering wheel. maybe replace them. Its quite anoyying !!
