    Default Dyno tune or not

Hi just wondering if a flash tune / dyno would help or give me more power as I have put mods on the car but am I getting the full benefits & does the factory ecu adapt or keep resetting back to standard settings?
    Here are the engine mods
Hi mate as per our telephone call today in regards to a dyno tune on my VY V6 I have listed the mods below.
    The car has
Cold Air Induction second inlet picking air from behind the left hand head light (fully sectioned off from engine bay) with standard air box with K&N flat filter.
    Pacemaker extractors
    2.5 Cat back exhaust system
    70mm Throttle Body
    Lower Plenum Spacer 24mm

    Regards

It can be done, I'm pretty sure the VY ECU is the same as the VX. My VX has been tuned but its costly. Frankly you haven't modded it enough to bother with a tune, a cam or at least some higher ratio rockers, otherwise your ECU can handle your current mods. You will spend upwards of $1k for a handful of kilowatts.

The VY computers are different to the VX.

There are only a hand full of tuners that can tune these computers and you will be looking at $1200 min. As stated you dont realy have the mods to need a tune and would be a wast of you time and money.

Unless you plan to fit a cam there is no need for a tune, even if you get some rockers a tune will still not be needed. Yes you will get a small amount of power but worth it.
If you do realy still want a tune then Dick in NSW it the person to see.

VY&&&, it depends on how far you are going if you tune or not. If that's all you are doing and you aren't happy then a tune may bring it all together better but it won't give you more than 10rwkw and a few Nm extra on the stock cam. You could drop a wad and cam it but it will still only go as hard as the amount of air it can "suck" in so really not worth $1200 imo.

A tip...........ditch that 70mm throttle body and go back to the stocker. If the car is an auto you may notice some weird stuff here and there and this can be fixed up in the tune though
