Hi y'all
I think I have a problem with my gearbox, as everytime I shift gears it sort of grinds a lot
I have tried the castrol transmax Z and also the dextron 3 type. It still does grind
Please do help and assist, I am afraid that it would get worst and have to buy a new one
Thx
does it do it all gears?
is it hard to push it into reverse and 1st gear when standing still?
want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...
it is quite hard to put in first gear, and when put in every gear there would be like grinding, and it is quite hard to put in reverse gear as well, but when i put in first then reverse it is more smooth, and i notice that when i was turning corner while in neutral gear, there is like a rattling sound coming from the gearbox....i think
Please do help and assists
your push out bearing mite be gone.
it sounds like the gear box has to come out to have a closer look.
but as you said before your useing different oils, did this all happen after you changed the oil or clutch? there mite be air in the line. mite need bleeding. or you can sit there and pump the pedal heaps till it feels better.
i'd take it to a garage and have it looked before you do some damage.

if the push out bearing is gone, do you know how much to get it replace?
it does happen even before i change the oil, i have never change the clutch, there is one time where the slave cylinder seal is gone and there is no clutch, so i get that replace.
but after that, it does still have grinding.
if there is air in the line, but which line? issit the clutch line?
THX alot
and also, what gearbox oil do you recommend?. the manual vyss gearbox has 4.4L. but the castrol oil has ony 4L and most good oil has 4L, but only for dextron 3 oil has 5L.
THX
Hi Y'all
Does anyone knows how much to put or replace snycro in the manual gearbox. In NSW
Hey buddy do you know its the syncro or not?
My guess would be thrust bearing on ure slave cylinder or ure spigot bearing in the back of your engine(your input shaft sits in it and when it flogs out it becomes hard to change gears.
Could also be ure clutch grabbing., so maybe bleed it.
hi,
i have just change the slave cylinder before, cuz the rubber is gone. it might be the spigot bearing nad do you know how much to replace it?
