I have a mate who has one spare that has the usual cd jammed in there and a error on screen(not sure what) I kinda like the factory look of the stereos. And been for the misses she dosent need or want anything fancy.
Are they repairable in this state at all...only asking as he will give it to me. If there isnt much involved in a repair I`ll grab it
Sometimes disconnecting/reconnecting the battery causes the unit to 'boot up' and eject even a stuck cd. It may well be that when you plug it in to your car and enter the pin it'll come good. Fingers crossed!

Cheers for the link, damn that's a expensive option for what it is. But some good development
I took the UDC option myself, and I am very happy with it. Compared to the cost of an aftermarket system and an interface to retain steering wheel control functionality, it's actually pretty competitive costwise. Of course, an aftermarket system could bring a bunch of extra features with it - there is no clear winner.
A free upgrade from a mate to a 6 stacker sounds like a winner though - if you can get it working.

They are quite easy to pull apart , & remove the CD . Dont forget you need the pin code , its in the glovebox book that came with the car. While you have it apart you can do the MP3 player mod ( thread in this forum ,) so you can play MP3 thru the unit .
