led globe number plate error

hey all,
i bought some white led lights to replace the crap yellow globes on my calais parker and number plate lights. Parkers came up good. But for some reason everytime i start the car the computer tells me 'rear light bulb fail' i get out the car and both leds on number plate are working fine!? Whats causing this error to occur, any idea how to fix it?

Difference in resistance between your standard globes and LED's is causing it to think a bulb has blown.

well i have led numberplate lights in my acclaim and i dont get any problem so maybe its a calais thing

I have had the sameerror in my calais

it was only one of ther led bulbs which was doing it so i just took them back to normal for the moment until i can figure it out

Might even be different brands have different resistance to eliminate this problem?

Could be different brands causing the problem. But it's like if you replace indicator globes with LEDS, the flasher unit will flash fast as the lower reistance of the LED makes it think there is a blown bulb.

Yeah well it must be brands because I actually put a different set of LED's in the number plate, Had no error come up but they just arent bright enough so i figured id do the right thing and switch to brighter set of LED's so the police can see my plates But as soon as i put them in, The error starting appearing when ignition was kicked over. Must be the brand!

Have bought another set of LED's cheap, will see how they go. if not ill give up
