Vy fuel guage

Hey, my 2003vy storm is having problems with the fuel guage, I filled the tank to full, and it is only regeristing 1/4 full. And the electronic reading is also out, ive only driven to work since I filled up, trying to find any bump I could (thinking float may have been stuck). The guage has moved from 1/4 up to half a tank (as with dash electronic reading). So float maybe unsticking?
Been through some settings on the car found: petrol sender voltage: 13.10 and petrol sender resistance: 254ohms.
Any advice on what I could do before having to take it to the dealer would be great.

Also there is no "fuel guage error" message shown on the dash
