    Default New Exhaust

    Hey guys
was thinking about putting a new exhaust on my VY but ive been in cars with people in 4 cyl cars and cannons on the back and its really loud and annoying when you're driving along. Do you get this same sort of thing in the vy. I know it'll be a nicer sound because its a v6 but does it get a bit annoying and can you still hear it over your stereo.
Im looking for a nice rumble but nothing too loud. Any suggestions?

Have a look under the car and see if yours has two cats or one. It will make a difference, the twin cat models are slightly quieter when fitting the same type of exhausts.

You're very biased soop, I love the sound of a nice V8 too, but there are some that sound horrible when not done right.

I do the Manta systems, $275 shipped for single cat models, and $300 for twin cat models.

just get a 2.5" redback wih both mufflers, will help the engine breath abit better and get a slight deeper note without sounding to crap. As above says a v6 is very difficult to get a good sound from

I'm not biased at all. 350/370z's sound ace, as do Porsche's R32 golfs and a range of other cars. Buick/emotec Does not sound good.

Get a 2.5" lukey with just the middle muffler and straight pipes... I get complimented all the time on the way it sounds for a v6.

Yea I should really take a video of it but it sounds pretty much exactly like this guys on youtube (keeping in mind that it's "video quality") as he has the same system as me except I have pacemaker extractors whereas he has lukey... The system however is the same, 2.5" lukey catback with just the centre muffler, to straight pipes, to tips.

Stick your head under the car and count them.

Yea there's nothing like a lukey on an ecotec, in my opinion brands like redback just can't compare when you put them side by side.
