couple of issues I would like people's opinion on (and before some smartarse says "do a search", I have and couldn't really find anything that matched my issue).
1. Steering - on my vy calais, after traveling for a while at speeds over 80, then get to a sharp left hand turn (90 degrees), slow down and make the turn - when I try to straighten up again, the steering seems to stick slightly.....any thoughts?
2. rear wing - the clear coat is starting to peel on the edge of the rear wing - can I just smooth it back, give it a bit of a key and apply a few coats of clear or would I need to do more?
Cheers.
With your steering it sounds like the steering column upper bearing might be playing up...mine was doing that and it got worse til it gave way..if thats the case then the entire steering column will need to be replaced
cheers dvl
Could be like mine, Sway bar bushes are stuffed, needs wheel alignment, wheels aren't balanced, one or two of the tyres are on backwards. All key factors.
take your wing off and get it resprayed at your local painters.. it will only cost $200 or so possibly less. sand it back yourself to get the price down.
