Will VY senator spoiler fit in the VY HBD spoiler holes

ok so i was looking at this

HOLDEN VY VZ SENATOR STYLE BOBTAIL SPOILER + LED LIGHT | eBay

and it says it fits into the same holes as a SS, SV6 etc spoiler, but from what i have seen of senators, the wing isnt that big to go into the holes, am i wrong?

also my spoiler has 2 locating bolts that go through the boot, but they are very close to the front of the boot and dont think they would line up with a SS spoiler etc.

here is what i have and as you can see ity is very small length ways (ontop of the boot), i dont think the senators are much longer and the SS ones are very long.



so my question is will it fit? i dont want to make more holes than what is there, maybe 1 if i have to for the wiring of the LED brake light (whole reason im getting it) but not 4 more bloody holes lol.

The spoiler in the ebay ad is a senator spoiler yet the one in your pic in this thread is a HBD lip. 2 completely different animals. Once the HBD option 2 spoiler is removed the bootlid will need filling before an HBD lip can be fitted. I've mocked one up on my Calais after removing my option 2 HBD spoiler.

so the senator spoiler is the option 2 HBD? i know they are different but hoped the holes would be the same (sounds simple enough lol)

Not quite. The Senator lip only came out on the Senators, option 2 HBD was a full size SS spolier.

Have a closer look at this photo, this is the best pic of the Senny lip I could find.



Looks to me like it covers the same boot area that an SS spoiler would, and would therefore cover the holes left in it.

ah shit, yeah it does go a fair way back, and doesnt look as good as i thought without all the senator boot garnish etc,

haha there is a line mate ive got about 5 people wanting it but its the best thing about my car.
its like goldie locks, not too big, not too small JUUUUUUST right haha
