noisey plastic dash 2003 monaro

Hey,

I have a 2003 holden monaro v2. the plastic dash insert is making some noise. just like plastic flexing as it changes temp. has anyone run into the same issue and if so how did you resolve it?

may not help but i have a vt and the dash creaking(especially when the a/c was on)used to drive me nuts.i bought some small rubber moulding from clark rubber and forced it between the dash facia and the top section and it worked ,looks fine too, no one has even noticed that it's not factory.

Same problem with my VY... not much you can do to stop it. I've tried felt tape around the edges and between the plastic parts and tightening down the screws. Small improvement but depending how you do it, it can make the trim gaps/alignment worse. Don't over tighten the screws on the center console because you will probably crack the mounting tabs. Mine were very brittle.

Same here , 2005 CV8Z Monaro , & 2002 VY Calais , I just put up with it, some days it creaks some days it doesnt. I have thought of lifting the panel up & putting a spot of silastic on the clips that hold the top panel down then dropping it down thus it sets & may stop the creaking.......
