hi all, can someone tell me if an original 3.45 vy gts hydra trac diff
is a lsd, buying one in 2 weeks just want to make sure, cheers
anyone know
i think they are just do it in a different way. Exey to fix, do some research on how the hydratrac diff works. Depending on the amount your paying for it.....might be just as cheap so source a ss lsd and change gears to suit your needs
They are Limited-slip and work with a viscous fluid, which thickens when load is applied. i do not know the physics, but the viscous fluid takes the place of the locking clutches, to provide drive to both axles.
A VY Hydra-trak will require different stub axles to the mechanical differentials, or it will not fit up correctly. So, make sure you get the diff AND stub axles, or you'd have to source some through Holden / HSV - ouch!!!
A Y-GTS diff with that ratio will have come from an auto.
cheers
